Originally from Southern California, Lyon got her start at the Fender Museum’s Kids Rock Free program, where she fronted a student band and cut her teeth on powerhouse covers. That early drive led to major stage appearances, opening for legends like Etta James and Bo Diddley, and later fronting the psychedelic rock band YENN across California and the Pacific Northwest.

After stepping away from music due to health challenges, Lyon turned to fiction writing, publishing short stories and earning recognition from Writer’s Digest. But storytelling never left her. A cross-country journey spanning 32 states ultimately brought her to Nashville, where she began writing her way through a new chapter.
